Good Mornings - Some thoughts

GOOD
M
ORNING

Future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams!
We Have the...Power within ... which GOD has offered us!!!

Have a Beautiful Morning!!!

Hi!!  Have a great day!!!!!!!

                                                                        Have a beautiful smiley day!

Having added the Dalai Lama thoughts gadget to my igoogle page, the thoughts that I got last week were

The various features and aspects of human life,
like longevity, good health, success, happiness and so forth
which we consider desirable, are all dependent on kindness and good heart.

Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something,
and
sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.

The foundation of Buddha's teachings lies in compassion,
and the reason for practice the teachings of Buddha is to wipe out the persistence of ego, the number one enemy of compassion.

A few thoughts received by me during the week

Arguments throw heat on the subject;
while Discussions throw light on the same;
Arguments show who is right;
while Discussions show what's right.

Beautiful pictures are always developed in a dark room,
So if you ever find darkness in your life then think
that GOD is developing a beautiful future for you.

Everyone you meet is not just a coincidence, but destiny..
Leave something wonderful to those people who pass your life...
so that they will find it hard to erase you from their heart.

Life is at its weakest  when there are more doubts than trust,
but life is at its strongest when you learn
how to trust even if there are doubts.

It is one of the beautiful compensations of life that
"no human can sincerely try to help another without helping himself."

Happiness in life depend on the quality of our thoughts,
but the quality of our thoughts depends on the people we meet in our life.

To forgive a fault in another is nobler
than to be faultless in one's self.

Finally
No person in this world is rich enough to buy his past.
So enjoy and enjoy each and every moment of this journey called LIFE.
Those who cannot change their mind cannot change anything.

Have a wonderful week ahead.
HAPPY DUSSERA TO ONE AND ALL.
HAPPY DURGA PUJA TO ONE AND ALL

Unconditional Acceptance

Hi

This is a mail which I had shared with Orkut and other chat friends last year. This story is more relevant today on occassion of Gandhi Jayanti and terror strikes across the country.

A beautiful and touching story that coaches about Unconditional Acceptance and Love for the. A gentle reminder for us to always remember to treat our family, friends, associates and strangers with Unconditional Acceptance and Love. As what is mentioned in the story, "we, as human beings and being part of God, share this need to heal people and be healed." My friend shared with me a quotation 1-2 year back which goes, "the first rule of Unconditional Love; it is in the giving that you make the others realise." Have a great loving Thursday today and everyday.

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called "Smile."

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reaction. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say, hello anyway … so, I thought, this would be a piece of cake, literally. Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonalds, one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch … an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved. As I turned around I smelled a horrible "dirty body smell" and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was "smiling". His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance.

He said, "Good day" as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.

The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally deficient and the blue-eyed gentle man was his salvation. I held my tears … as I stood there with them. The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, "Coffee is all Miss" because that was all they could afford. To sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something, and they just wanted to be warm.Then I really felt it … the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me … judging my every action. I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Thank you." I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, "I did not do this for you … God is here working through me to give you hope." I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son.

When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, "That is why God gave you to me honey … to give me hope." We held hands for a moment and at that time we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given that we were able to give.

That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love. I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in "my project" and the instructor read it … then she looked up at me and said, "Can I share this?" I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.

She began to read and that is when I knew that we, as human beings and being part of God, share this need to heal people and be healed. In my own way I had touched the people at McDonalds, my husband, son, instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn … UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

Much love and compassion sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to Love People and Use Things - Not Love Things and Use People.

A Woman's Poem

He didn't like the curry
And he didn't like my cake.
He said my biscuits were too hard...
Not like his mother used to make.
I didn't prepare the coffee right
He didn't like the stew,
I didn't mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.
I pondered for an answer
I was looking for a clue.
Isn't there anything I could do
To match his mothers shoe
Then I smiled as I saw light
One thing I could definitely do
I turned around and slapped him tight...
 Like his mother used to do!!!!!

99 Club

Hi buddies.

For a change I am sending two mails today( i have observed that if you put up 2 posts in a day, only one post is read while the other post isnt').........i was just browsing through the old mails which I had shared with friends earlier and came across a few good ones.....you must have already got the humourous one. Here is another story......though a bit long would be worth the reading. Take time out and read.

Have a wonderful day and a warm welcome to the Month of Festivities.

Happy Navratri.

Some time ago, there lived a King.This king should have been contented with his  life, given all the riches and luxuries he had. However, this was not the case! The King always found himself wondering why he just never seemed content with his life.

Sure, he had the attention of everyone wherever he went, attended fancy dinners and parties, but somehow, he still felt something was lacking and he couldn't put his finger on it.

One day, the King had woken up earlier than usual to stroll around his palace. He entered his huge living room and came to a stop when he heard someone happily singing away... following this singing... he saw that one of the servants was singing and had a very contented look on his face.

This fascinated the King and he summoned this man to his chambers.

The man entered the King's chambers as ordered. The King asked why he was so happy?

To this the man replied: "Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but I make enough of a living to keep my wife and children happy. We don't need too much, a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummy. My wife and children are my inspiration, they are content with whatever little I bring home. I am happy because my family is happy."

Hearing this, the King dismissed the servant and summoned his Personal Assistant to his chambers.

The King related his personal anguish about his feelings and then related the story of the servant to his Personal Assistant, hoping that somehow, he will be able to come up with some reasoning that here was a King who could have anything he wished for at a snap of his fingers and yet was not contented, whereas, his servant, having so little was extremely contented.

The Personal Assistant listened attentively and came to a conclusion. He said, "Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of The 99 Club."

"The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?" the King inquired.

To which the Assistant replied, "Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is, you will have to do the following... place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep, you will then understand what The 99 Club is."

CoinsThat very same evening, the King arranged for 99 Gold coins to be placed in a bag at the servant's doorstep. Although he was slightly hesitant and he thought he should have put 100 Gold coins into the bag, but since his assistant had advised him to put 99 that is what he did.

The servant was just stepping out of his house when he saw a bag at his doorstep. Wondering about its contents, he took it into his house and opened the bag. When he opened the bag, he let out a great big shout of joy...Gold Coins... so many of them. He could hardly believe it. He called his wife to show her the coins.

He then took the bag to a table and emptied it out and began to count the coins. Doing so, he realized that there were 99 coins and he thought it was an odd number so he counted again, and again and again only to come to the same conclusion... 99 Gold Coins.

He began to wonder, what could have happened to that last 1 coin? For no one would leave 99 coins. He began to search his entire house, looked around his backyard for hours, not wanting to lose out on that one coin. Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to make up for that 1 Gold coin to make his entire collection an even 100 Gold Coins.

He got up the next morning, in an extremely horrible mood, shouting at the children and his wife for his delay, not realizing that he had spent most of the night conjuring ways of working hard so that he had enough money to buy himself that gold coin. He went to work as usual - but not in his usual best mood, singing happily - as he grumpily did his daily errands.

Seeing the man's attitude change so drastically, the King was puzzled. He promptly summoned his assistant to his chambers. The King related his thoughts about the servant and once again, his assistant listened. The King could not believe that the servant who until yesterday had been singing away and was happy and content with his life had taken a sudden change of attitude, even though he should have been happier after receiving the gold coins.

To this the assistant replied "Ah! But your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The 99 Club." He explained: "The 99 Club
is just a name given to those people who have everything but yet are never contented, therefore they are always working hard and striving for that extra 1 to round it out to 100!

We have so much to be thankful for and we can live with very little in our lives, but the minute we are given something bigger and better, we want even more!

Lesson to learn from this Story:

We are not the same happy contented person we used to be, we want more and more and by wanting more and more we don't realize the price we pay for it.

We lose our sleep, our happiness; we hurt the people around us just as a price to pay for our growing needs and desires.

That is what joining The 99 Club is all about."

Hearing this the King decided that from that day onwards, he was going to start  appreciating all the little things in life.

Striving for more is always good, but let's not strive so hard and for so much that we loses all those near and dear to our hearts, we shouldn't compromise our happiness for moments of luxuries!

Ferrari hires Mumbai Guys

MUMBAI GUYS - TOO GOOD

As you are aware Ferrari's did not get a podium finish this Sunday at the Singapore Grand Prix because of crucial error by its pit crew. So Ferrari's F1 Team has fired its entire pit crew. The announcement follows:

Ferrari has decided to take advantage of India's high unemployment rate, and hire unemployed Indian youths from the Dharavi slums in Mumbai. The decision to hire them was brought on by a recent documentary on how they were able to remove a set of wheels from a car parked in the street in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment. Ferrari's erstwhile crew took more than 8 seconds with the right equipment.

This was thought to be an excellent yet bold move by the Ferrari management, and, as most races are won & lost in the pits, Ferrari would have an advantage over every other team.

However, Ferrari's expectations were exceeded, as during the crew's first
practice session; not only were 'da boyz' from Bombay able to change the tires in under 6 seconds, but within 12 seconds had resprayed the car, filed off the chassis number and sold the vehicle over to the McLaren Team!!

Good Morning

A week gone like a whiff of thin air;
You don't remember how life went by in those one week;

You were here one day and there one day, like the wind;
But at the end of week you were one week older
and wiser in this journey called LIFE.

But as the thought says

"Every sunset gives us a day less to live; but every sunrise gives us a day more to try and rectify mistakes of the previous day"

Likewise every week gone by makes us older by a week, but begining of the week gives us a week more to try and achieve our dreams.

Some beautiful flowers...to bring fragrance to you!!
Some thoughts to carry you through the week with a smile on your face!!
Some blessings to make you achieve what you have set out to do.
Wish you a Sweet Morning!!

A butterfly lives only for few days
But still it flies joyfully like the ones below
capturing many hearts.
Each moment in life is precious,
Live happy  and win many hearts with your deeds.

When you control your thoughts, you control your mind;
When you control your mind, you control your life;
Once you have total control of your life you become the master.

Success is a tasty dish, of which
Patience, Intelligence, Talent and ability are ingredients,
but hard work is that little salt that makes it edible.

Its paradoxical that the person
whom you have the most control is yourself,
yet the hardest person to change is also yourself.

Patience with family is love;
Patience with others is respect;
Patience with self is confidence;
Patience with God is faith.

 We may not be able to change the situation around us
but mould us according to the situation and remain cheerful.
Keep smiling.

The Rose within

This is a mail which I had shared with friends a few years back. So sharing it again with friends whom I met after that. Read it and see if you can implement it in your life.
Have a wonderful day.

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it.

He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died.

So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.

We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.  Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.

This is one of the characteristic of love... to look at a person, know their true faults and accepting that person into your life... all the while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help others to realize they can overcome their faults. If we show them the "rose" within themselves, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.

Life

Here is a wonderful reflection which I read in today's newspaper.
There are nine requisites for contented living.

Health enough to make work a pleasure;
Wealth enough to support your needs;

Strength enough to battle with difficulties and forsake them;
Grace enough to  confess your sins and overcome them;

Patience enough to toil until some good is accomplished;
Charity enough to see some good in your neighbourhood;

Love enough to move you to be useful and helpful to others;
Faith enough to make real the things of god

HOPE enough to remove all anxious fears concerning the future.
                                      Goethe

Have  a wonderful fun filled day. God bless.

Thoughts

Hi

Another week gone by...........but rains are not leaving Mumbai as of yet.......weatherman predicting that rains will be there till first week of October.........but can the weatherman be relied upon is the moot question?

The week ended with my meeting a fellow blogger who had come down to mumbai for a conference and surprise of all - a reporter covering the conference decided to do a small interview on the subject of blogging and two individuals meeting each other for the first time after having known each other on the net.

The week ahead is a crucial week with work pressure at its peak.....hope you all had a wonderful week and eagerly looking ahead to another week in the journey called life. This time due to more thoughts coming my way, have split them with some good ones that are worth sharing in the following paragraphs while the funny ones are in a separate  blog.  A very nice power point presentation is sent separately by mail to those who had responded to my earlier blog and sent me their mail id.

Delay is the Enemy of Efficiency;
Waiting is the Enemy of Utilisation;
So don't delay anything and don't wait for anything.

In all human affairs there are EFFORTS & there are RESULTS
and
the EFFORT is the measure of the RESULT.

Hide your SMILE when people around you are sad;
Hide your SADNESS when people are you are happy;
Then your life always remains RESPECTABLE.

Believe in you dreams and the way you think;
Feed your faith and starve your doubts;
Always remember tough times never last but tough people do.

Success is like a train.
It has several compartments - hardwork, focus, luck, etc.
But leading all those is the Engine of Confidence.
So keep it fit and let it pull along in your journey of life.

Eyes are not meant for tears
and
Heart is not meant for fear.
Never get upset but always cheer,
because you are the one who can make people smile in their tears.

When Life is 'GAME'
I wish you always win;
When Life is 'JOURNEY'
I wish you always walk on roses;
When Life is 'FUN'
I wish evergreen SMILE on your face.

Forces against us can never be more powerful
than the force "within" us.
Trust God  'completely'
He will never give us anything we can't handle.

What is easy and what is difficult??
Easy is to judge the mistakes of others;
Difficult is to recognise and accept out mistakes.
Let us see within ourselves.

SMILE costs less than Electricity bill
but gives more Light than it.
So always keep smiling
and
prove that you are the BEST TUBELIGHT in the whole world.

Have a wonderful week ahead. KEEP SMILING. Enjoy LIFE as it comes.
